EA SPORTS FC 27 release date

EA has confirmed the worldwide launch for September 25, 2026. Players with an eligible Ultimate Edition can begin up to seven days earlier on September 18. EA Play members can also access a 10-hour trial beginning September 18, while EA Play Pro provides its own PC entitlement according to EA's release information.

Standard, Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions

EA announced three paid editions during the pre-order period. Standard Edition provides the full core game from September 25. Ultimate Edition adds early access and a larger package of Football Ultimate Team, Career Mode and The Grounds bonuses.

Ultimate Plus was a limited early-bird offer. EA stated that it was available only from July 23 through August 31, 2026, so that purchase window has already passed. Players shopping now should compare the currently available Standard and Ultimate options rather than treating old Ultimate Plus pre-order pages as current.

Which platforms support FC 27?

EA lists the full game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. PC purchase routes include the EA app, Steam and Epic Games Store.

Platform support does not mean every hardware version is identical. Store descriptions should be checked for storage requirements, online features, generation-specific behavior and edition entitlements. Football Ultimate Team in FC 27

Football Ultimate Team remains central to FC 27. EA's edition material confirms FC Points packages, Premium Pass benefits, International ICON-related content and an additional Player Evolution slot for eligible higher editions. Live promos, SBCs, Evolutions and objectives will continue to change after launch.

Career Mode

Career Mode is part of the full core game. Higher editions add pre-order or edition-specific extras such as staff boosts, Manager Live Challenge creation capacity and other Career-related content, but players do not need Ultimate Edition simply to access Career Mode.

FC 27 Lite: a free limited preview

FC 27 Lite launches September 25 at 16:00 UTC as a free limited preview on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store, according to EA's edition FAQ. EA describes Lite as a selected-content preview rather than the full game.

Leagues, stadiums and player ratings

EA has announced the return of Liga MX and renewed or expanded football partnerships around FC 27. The official game site also promotes ratings covering more than 19,000 players, alongside major domestic leagues and international club competitions.
